John Vigue is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Modern Mail & Print Solutions in Clearwater, FL.

Modern has been servicing the Tampa Bay area with mail and print services for over 44 years and John currently manages all new business and the marketing for the company.

John is a St. Petersburg native and former St. Pete PAL Baseball player.  John played his collegiate Baseball at the University of South Florida, where is also earned a Bachelors in Marketing.

John continued his baseball career with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and then got into coaching both College and High School baseball.

John is married to Alissa Vigue and they are the proud parents of 2 daughters.  He enjoys coaching his daughters in all their sport endeavors and vacationing with the family.

John’s passion for PAL originates from his time as a kid serving at the PAL Baseball teams bat-boy for his father who was the coach, along with his time paying for PAL.  As a former PAL Athlete of the year recipient, John has always wanted to give back to PAL and has been able to as a member of the PAL Board.

Joe Fullerton is a Tax Manager in the Tampa Bay office of CBIZ MHM, LLC with 10 years of experience in public accounting, including over four years with a Big Four accounting firm. He has experience providing tax consulting and compliance solutions for a broad range of clients from tax provision services for corporate clients to tax preparation of flow through entities, family businesses, and high net worth individuals. Joe is an instructor for the firm’s National Level Training program for new associates and leads the office’s senior associate professional development program. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Joe attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Accounting and now lives in St. Petersburg with his wife and daughter.

Tommy focuses on developing wealth accumulation strategies for affluent clients to help them pursue their financial goals. He takes the time to get to know clients in order to offer easy-to-understand, individualized wealth management solutions. Tommy makes client-centric recommendations based on specific asset allocations that reflect a client’s need for wealth preservation, growth and income. He holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, which assists him in developing retirement planning strategies for professional athletes and high net worth clients.

A graduate of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, Tommy earned a bachelor’s degree in American studies. He lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Melissa, and their children Kaitlyn and Easton.

John Ullrich was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. He attended high school at Northside Christian and received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting at Florida State University. John began his career as a licensed CPA and practiced public accounting in the tax, audit, commercial litigation and family law arenas.  John left the practice of public accounting to become a shareholder at Wallace, Welch and Willingham where he specializes in property and liability insurance and risk management. As a lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, John has a passion for his community and believes in service to others.  John has served on several nonprofit boards including the Northeast Exchange Club, Tampa Baywatch and the Suncoasters of St. Petersburg.  He currently serves on the board of the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg and New Life Solutions.

W.G. Spoor is a partner with Spoor Bunch Franz. He is responsible for the firm’s domestic and international tax practice. W.G. specializes in helping clients with tax compliance and consulting issues. He has worked closely with a variety of business entity types, and has assisted business owners with related tax matters. He also has extensive experience with business acquisitions, succession planning, retirement planning, and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue. W.G. has earned a Masters in Accountancy from the University of South Florida, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist and Chartered Global Management Accountant.  W.G. is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). W.G. is currently serving on the FICPA Board of Directors.  He has also served on the FICPA Finance and Advisory Committee, the FICPA Accounting Careers Committee, AICPA Uniform Accountancy Act Committee, the FICPA Nominations Committee, the FICPA International Tax Committee and the FICPA Young CPA Committee. A lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, W.G. is active in his local community.  Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing tennis, fishing and watching FSU football.

Brent Prudhomme earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, is a graduate of the Florida Bankers Association Graduate Trust School and holds the designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA). He has over fifteen years of experience in investment management and trust administration. Brent enjoys giving back to the St. Petersburg community through his involvement with the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg, a charity committed to providing youth of St. Petersburg with the opportunity to become involved with positive activities such as athletics, recreation and education.

After growing up in New York City and moving to Florida in 2001, Gregg made Tampa Bay his home.  Gregg has been working at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) for more than 20 years. He has attended PwC’s US leadership development program, Turning Point in 2006 later followed by PwC’s global leadership development program Genesis Park in 2015 and is currently a Sr. Director in Technology.  Gregg is an alum of the Leadership St. Petersburg Class of 2008 and has served on the board of the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg since then.

Ellie Finehout is the CEO of Ascendalyst, a boutique consultant firming located in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Using her 20+ years in the human resources outsourcing industry, Ellie uses gap analysis discovery to propose fractional executive support to assist clients reach their business goals.

Prior to founding Ascendalyst, Ellie served several roles throughout Modern Business Associates.  During her tenure with MBA, Ellie became a member of SHRM, received her life, health & variable annuity license and received a designation as a professional payroll administrator through the American Payroll Administration.

Ellie’s passion to support PAL’s efforts are drawn from the early days in her career with MBA.  As a single mother of two young children, she needed the support offered through PAL’s after school program.  Without the comfort of knowing that her children were in a safe place with positive role models, Ellie would not have been able to dedicate the necessary time to grow professionally.  She feels that it is now her turn to give back to the organization that helped her during those early days.

Charles Copley Gerdes was born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Fl.. He and his wife, Cecily Valenty Gerdes, were married in 2016 and have two children, Calley and Cade. Copley and his family are members at Pasadena Yacht and Country Club. They enjoy afternoons on the boat, playing golf, and spending time with their family. Both Cecily and Copley have a passion for wine and you can often find them enjoying a glass after the kids go to bed!

In 2011, I joined Northwestern Mutual as an Intern. I quickly became a Winter Camp attendee (Top 100 Interns during the 4th Quarter), and converted to a full-time Financial Representative. In 2013, I was named College Unit Director for the St. Pete district office and from there have become a Growth and Development Director. This new position allows to me to recruit and develop new advisors to our amazing firm while also running my personal practice. St. Pete is my hometown and I love the opportunity to help its citizens become financially secure while also helping people find their amazing future with Northwestern Mutual.

My Background

I have a very diverse professional background. I began as a religion major with an emphasis on Catholic Studies at Saint Leo University. While at Saint Leo, I was a two-sport Division II athlete, participating in baseball and swimming. After graduating in 2006, I took a graduate assistant position with the baseball team, and worked my way to recruiting coordinator. In 2008, I left Saint Leo for the business world. I became a Business Analyst with FrankCrum, Inc. in Clearwater, Fl. I handled a multitude of business-to-business situations including client on-boarding and retention. In 2010, I joined Keane, Reese, Vesely and Gerdes P.A. as Director of Special Projects. It was an amazing opportunity to work with my father, Charlie Gerdes, and see first-hand how a law office works.

“To inspire hope and support local families who have been impacted by pediatric cancer, and fund organizations that aspire to find a cure for these brave children.” We began this endeavor with a purpose specifically directed at supporting, and serving local families with a child undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer in the greater Tampa Bay area.

Committee Member on Northwestern Mutual Community Action Committee

The Northwestern Mutual Community Action Committee works to enhance community involvement and our local brand through volunteer and fundraising efforts focused on supporting the mission of eradicating childhood cancer. We provide the Greater Tampa Bay community “with opportunities to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures. We strive to encourage and empower others to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.”

Patrice Featherstone serves as Modern Business Associates (MBA)’s Vice President of HR and Assistant General Counsel.  She began her career at MBA in 2008 and developed into a leader in the HR Department. Patrice leads a diverse team of HR Specialists, Managers, and Consultants and is responsible for internal HR at MBA.  As an advisor to many of MBA’s clients, she conducts training and development seminars, investigates harassment and discrimination allegations, provides strategic guidance, and represents employers in federal and state agency matters.  In 2005, Patrice received her Master of Public Administration in Personnel Administration from North Carolina Central University, and earned her Juris Doctor in 2008 from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law.   In 2018, Patrice was recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a People First Honoree for her work in human resources.  Currently, Patrice serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Petersburg Police Athletic League and recently became a Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management.

Jessica is a St. Petersburg native who began working as an adjunct at St. Petersburg College in 2004. She earned her BS and MS in Special Education from Florida State University. Prior to her work at the college she was a classroom teacher of students with emotional, learning and significant cognitive disabilities. She became a mentor teacher and a consultant for the district modeling best practices in both behavior management and teaching curriculum. At that time, she also provided feedback and support to interns and practicum students while teaching as an adjunct for the University of South Florida and earning her Ph.D. She became a faculty member in the College of Education at St. Petersburg College in 2015. Her research interests include: the school to prison pipeline, girls who are at-risk and their school experiences, students of color and prior their school experiences, and how those experiences may or may not intersect with exceptional student education.

Jessica is married and has a son, daughter and an old dog. When she is not working or driving her children around, she loves the beach, swimming, trying the newest restaurants in town and watching college football.

Anthony started calling Florida home after his family moved to the Bay Area in 2003. Anthony has lived in St. Petersburg since 2018 and loves everything the city has to offer. Anthony enjoys trying new food and coffee at local establishments and enjoys participating in local events.

Anthony graduated from Florida State University in 2014 with his bachelors degree. Upon graduating from FSU Anthony immediately began working in the insurance industry as an advisor. Anthony now works for USI insurance services in Tampa.

In addition to is service on the St. Petersburg PAL Board of Directors, Anthony has been a Big Brother through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization and provides volunteer support to USI Gives Back.  An annual, nationwide campaign where more than 150 USI offices invest their time, talent and treasure in local community service.

Rick was born and raised in Seminole, Florida. Rick played for the 2002 St. Pete PAL baseball team that won the National PAL Baseball Tournament. His baseball career continued through a 3-year stint in the Washington Nationals organization. After baseball, Rick attended and graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law. Following 3 years with the State Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor, Rick currently owns a law office in Largo, Florida, practicing in the field of estate planning. Rick joined the PAL board because of his desire to help kids in the local community and admiration for law enforcement.
